CSR vs. CRI in Metallurgical Coke: What Buyers Should Know
CSR vs. CRI in Metallurgical Coke: What Buyers Should Know
CRI and CSR frequently appear together in metallurgical coke specifications, but they represent different aspects of coke behavior.
CRI measures reactivity. CSR measures strength after reaction.
During testing, coke reacts with CO₂ under controlled high-temperature conditions. CRI provides information about the coke's reaction behavior. After the reaction, CSR provides information about the remaining mechanical strength.
For blast furnace applications, both parameters are useful because coke must react appropriately while maintaining sufficient physical integrity.
However, neither CRI nor CSR should be used as the only purchasing criterion.
Buyers should evaluate the complete specification, including M40, M10, fixed carbon, ash, sulfur and particle size.
A reliable metallurgical coke supplier should also demonstrate consistency from shipment to shipment and provide appropriate quality documentation.
Target keywords: CSR vs CRI, difference between CSR and CRI, metallurgical coke CRI, metallurgical coke CSR, blast furnace coke quality.
A professional coke supplier should therefore provide a complete technical specification rather than highlighting a single parameter.
Hebei Coke Technology Development Co., Ltd. provides customized metallurgical coke according to customer requirements for chemical composition, physical properties and particle size.
